Daikin Applied EWWD-VZ water-cooled screw chiller (Daikin Applied Europe) BACnet points list
Updated 28 October 2026
The European EWWD/EWWH/EWWS VZ water-cooled screw chillers use a MicroTech controller running the "Adam" software. BACnet IP or BACnet MS/TP is added with a plug-in POL908 or POL904 module, or on MicroTech 4 as an onboard software option. The list covers unit enable, mode and network setpoints, evaporator and condenser water temperatures, per-circuit refrigerant data, compressor VFD values and a large set of individual alarm BVs, plus warning/problem/fault index and code AVs.
This page lists 209 BACnet objects for the Daikin Applied EWWD-VZ water-cooled screw chiller (Daikin Applied Europe) — 14 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Daikin Applied’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Daikin Applied EWWD-VZ water-cooled screw chiller (Daikin Applied Europe)
Select network control at the unit (CtrlSource BI 3 then reads Network), enable the chiller with UnitEnableStp, and write the mode, cool setpoint and capacity limit at priority 8. Monitor unit status, leaving water temperature, the alarm output and the fault code.
Minimum points to map
The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.
| Object | Name | Why | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| BV 2 | UnitEnableStp | Network enable/disable of the chiller | Command |
| MV 3 | UnitModeSetpointNetwork | Ice / cool / heat / pursuit mode command | Command |
| AV 4 | NetworkCoolTempSetpoint | Leaving water cool setpoint from the BMS | Command |
| AV 3 | NetworkCapacityLimitSetpoint | Capacity limit from the BMS | Command |
| BV 8 | ClearAlarm | Clear alarms from the network | Command |
| BI 3 | CtrlSource | Shows whether network control is active | Read |
| MV 1 | UnitStatus | Chiller run state | Read |
| AI 2 | EvapLvgWTemp | Leaving chilled water temperature | Read |
| BI 10 | AlarmOutput | Any active alarm | Read |

Enable & remote start
CtrlSource (BI 3) reads 0 = Network / 1 = Local and is read-only over BACnet, so network control has to be selected at the unit; the guide does not describe that step. With network control active the BMS writes UnitEnableStp (BV 2) = Enable, then the mode (MV 3) and network setpoints.
Network setup
- BACnet IP comes from the POL908 module or, on MicroTech 4, the onboard BACnet IP software option (enabled under Commissioning > Configuration > Software Options with an unlock password).
- BACnet MS/TP comes from the POL904 module or the onboard BACnet MS/TP software option.
- BACnet IP defaults: device instance 1, UDP port 47808, DHCP off; set Apply Changes = Yes after editing, which restarts the controller.
- BACnet MS/TP module defaults: MAC address 24, 38400 baud, Max Master 127, Max Info Frames 1; the device instance is derived from the production number and date code. Cycle power after changing the address.
- EDE files are regenerated each time the BACnet server starts and can be downloaded by FTP from the POL908; re-export them after any configuration change.
Watch out for
- The guide marks the enable, alarm-reset, mode and main network setpoint objects as written at priority 8 (access C here); write them at priority 8.
- Compressor start counters and run-hour AVs are marked writable; don't write them from the BMS.
- Alarms come as Warning, Problem and Fault index/code AVs (900-905); decode them with the alarm code table in section 5.1 of the guide.
- MV 4 Units selects metric or English units for the BACnet values; set it once, not cyclically.

Integration notes
- This is the Daikin Applied Europe guide; it is a different object list from the US MicroTech chiller documents.
- The guide covers MicroTech III and MicroTech 4 controllers with one object list.
- Object names use dots (e.g. C1.Comp1.Starts) and are kept as printed.
- Access "W Prio 8" in the guide is shown as C; plain "W" is shown as W.
- One MV row printed with name and instance "MISSING" (a second measurement-unit setpoint) is left out. BV 904 is printed for both Unit.OFFRestartBoardOffline and Unit.OFFMarineBoardOffline; the second is listed without an instance.
- Default device instance 1 applies to BACnet IP; on the MS/TP module it is derived from the production number.
Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the EWWD-VZ water-cooled screw chiller (Daikin Applied Europe) and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. New to BACnet? Start with what a BACnet points list is and what the object types mean.
Questions about the Daikin Applied EWWD-VZ water-cooled screw chiller (Daikin Applied Europe)
How many BACnet points does the Daikin Applied EWWD-VZ water-cooled screw chiller (Daikin Applied Europe) have?
This list has 209 BACnet objects: 33 analog inputs, 53 analog values, 12 binary inputs, 99 binary values, 12 multi-state values. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.
Which Daikin Applied EWWD-VZ water-cooled screw chiller (Daikin Applied Europe) BACnet points are writable?
14 of the 209 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.
Where is the official Daikin Applied EWWD-VZ water-cooled screw chiller (Daikin Applied Europe) BACnet documentation?
The source is BAS Integration guide - BACnet protocol (EWWD(H)(S)_VZ) (D-EIGOC00101-22_02EN_VZ), revision 2022, published free by Daikin Applied at https://www.daikinapplied.eu/hubfs/portale-documentale/D_EIGOC00101_22_02EN_VZ.pdf.
What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Daikin Applied EWWD-VZ water-cooled screw chiller (Daikin Applied Europe)?
Start with BV 2 UnitEnableStp (Network enable/disable of the chiller); MV 3 UnitModeSetpointNetwork (Ice / cool / heat / pursuit mode command); AV 4 NetworkCoolTempSetpoint (Leaving water cool setpoint from the BMS); AV 3 NetworkCapacityLimitSetpoint (Capacity limit from the BMS); BV 8 ClearAlarm (Clear alarms from the network); BI 3 CtrlSource (Shows whether network control is active); MV 1 UnitStatus (Chiller run state); AI 2 EvapLvgWTemp (Leaving chilled water temperature); BI 10 AlarmOutput (Any active alarm); AV 905 AVFaultAlarmCode (Active fault alarm code).
How do I enable BMS control of the Daikin Applied EWWD-VZ water-cooled screw chiller (Daikin Applied Europe)?
CtrlSource (BI 3) reads 0 = Network / 1 = Local and is read-only over BACnet, so network control has to be selected at the unit; the guide does not describe that step. With network control active the BMS writes UnitEnableStp (BV 2) = Enable, then the mode (MV 3) and network setpoints.
How do I check these points on the real EWWD-VZ water-cooled screw chiller (Daikin Applied Europe)?
Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
