Intesis INBACSAM004O000 / 008O000 / 016O000 / 064O000 (Samsung NASA BACnet server) BACnet points list
Updated 28 October 2026
An Intesis BACnet server on the Samsung NASA R1/R2 bus that serves BACnet IP and BACnet MS/TP. It publishes outdoor-unit communication alarms, gateway-wide commands and one block of objects per indoor unit at (identifier x 100). The manual also defines different object sets for hot-water (HE/HT/EHS), AHU, ERV/ERV+ and chiller unit types; this file shows the standard indoor unit (IU) set.
This page lists 54 BACnet objects for the Intesis INBACSAM004O000 / 008O000 / 016O000 / 064O000 (Samsung NASA BACnet server) — 20 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Intesis’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Intesis INBACSAM004O000 / 008O000 / 016O000 / 064O000 (Samsung NASA BACnet server)
Connect the NASA R1/R2 bus to Port A (A3 R1/+, A4 R2/-), scan the bus in Intesis MAPS, assign each unit an identifier and send the project; then map each indoor unit's objects from its (identifier x 100) block. Gateway-wide objects at low instances command all units.
Minimum points to map
The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.
| Object | Name | Why | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| BO 100 | OxxUxx_On/Off_C | Start/stop indoor unit | Command |
| MO 100 | OxxUxx_Mode IU/AHU_C | Mode command | Command |
| AO 100 | OxxUxx_Setpoint_C | Setpoint command | Command |

| MI 102 | OxxUxx_Communication Status | Link flags; EXST = unit found on the NASA bus | Read |
| AI 105 | OxxUxx_Unit Error code | Fault code | Read |
Enable & remote start
No enable point is documented. OxxUxx_RC Restriction_C (BO 103) restricts the unit's remote controller.
Network setup
- Default device instance 246, configurable in MAPS.
- BACnet IP: default IP 192.168.100.246, DHCP enabled by default.
- Indoor units are addressed 0-63 and outdoor units 0-15 on the NASA bus; the identifier xxx (1-64) used in instance numbers is assigned in MAPS.
Watch out for
- Mode state numbering is Samsung's: 1=Heat, 2=Dry, 3=Fan, 4=Cool, 5=Auto (not the usual Intesis order).
- Check the Unit type object (MI 103) before mapping: other unit types use different objects in the same block.
- Manual addressing may be needed on the outdoor units if BI 16 OU Addressing Error is active.

Integration notes
- Indoor unit instance = (xxx x 100) + offset, xxx = indoor unit identifier 1-64 (identifier 1 shown, 100-108).
- Outdoor communication-error objects are BI 0-15 for outdoor addresses 00-15; BI 16 flags an addressing problem.
- Hot-water, AHU, ERV, ERV+ and chiller units reuse the same instance block with a different object set (see manual).
- WindFree, Air Clean and 360 CST Air Flow objects apply only to indoor units that support them.
- Communication Status (MI) states combine NASA flags such as RDY, EXST and DTUP.
Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the INBACSAM004O000 / 008O000 / 016O000 / 064O000 (Samsung NASA BACnet server) and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. Questions about the Intesis INBACSAM004O000 / 008O000 / 016O000 / 064O000 (Samsung NASA BACnet server)
How many BACnet points does the Intesis INBACSAM004O000 / 008O000 / 016O000 / 064O000 (Samsung NASA BACnet server) have?
This list has 54 BACnet objects: 6 analog inputs, 4 analog outputs, 23 binary inputs, 11 binary outputs, 5 multi-state inputs, 5 multi-state outputs. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.
Which Intesis INBACSAM004O000 / 008O000 / 016O000 / 064O000 (Samsung NASA BACnet server) BACnet points are writable?
20 of the 54 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.
Where is the official Intesis INBACSAM004O000 / 008O000 / 016O000 / 064O000 (Samsung NASA BACnet server) BACnet documentation?
The source is Intesis BACnet Server - Samsung NASA AC User's Manual, revision 01/2022 r1.3, published free by Intesis at https://www.hms-networks.com/docs/default-source/products/intesis/manuals-and-guides---manuals/user-manual-inbacsamxxxo000.pdf.
What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Intesis INBACSAM004O000 / 008O000 / 016O000 / 064O000 (Samsung NASA BACnet server)?
Start with BO 100 OxxUxx_On/Off_C (Start/stop indoor unit); MO 100 OxxUxx_Mode IU/AHU_C (Mode command); AO 100 OxxUxx_Setpoint_C (Setpoint command); MO 101 OxxUxx_FanSpeed_C (Fan speed command (4 = auto)); BI 100 OxxUxx_On/Off_S (Run status); AI 100 OxxUxx_Setpoint_S (Setpoint in use); AI 101 OxxUxx_Room_Temperature (Indoor unit room temperature, °C); MI 102 OxxUxx_Communication Status (Link flags; EXST = unit found on the NASA bus); AI 105 OxxUxx_Unit Error code (Fault code).
How do I enable BMS control of the Intesis INBACSAM004O000 / 008O000 / 016O000 / 064O000 (Samsung NASA BACnet server)?
No enable point is documented. OxxUxx_RC Restriction_C (BO 103) restricts the unit's remote controller.
How do I check these points on the real INBACSAM004O000 / 008O000 / 016O000 / 064O000 (Samsung NASA BACnet server)?
Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
