Intesis INBACMID001I100 (Midea VRF gateway) BACnet points list

Updated 28 October 2026

Short answer

A one-unit Intesis BACnet MS/TP interface wired to the XYE (or D1D2 on V8) terminals of a Midea indoor unit, where it acts as a central controller. It exposes 30 fixed objects for on/off, mode, setpoint, fan, swing, room temperature, errors, occupancy logic and remote-controller lock, plus diagnostic objects for its DIP switches and the Midea protocol version.

This page lists 30 BACnet objects for the Intesis INBACMID001I100 (Midea VRF gateway) — 11 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Intesis’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Intesis INBACMID001I100 (Midea VRF gateway)

Integration in brief

Connect the gateway to the indoor unit (XYE terminals on V4/V6, D1D2 on V8; 12 V external power), set the BACnet network on its DIP switches, then write the _command objects (on/off, mode, setpoint, fan) and read back the matching _status objects. One gateway serves one indoor unit (or one remote-controller group), so give each gateway its own MAC address and device instance.

Minimum points to map

The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.

ObjectNameWhyAccess
BO 0OnOff_commandStart/stop the indoor unitCommand
MO 0Mode_commandHeat/cool/fan/dry/auto selectionCommand
AO 0SetPoint_commandTemperature setpoint from the BMSCommand
MO 1FanSpeed_commandFan speed selectionCommand
BI 0OnOff_statusConfirm the unit is runningRead
AI 0SetPoint_statusSetpoint the unit is really usingRead
AI 1RoomTemperature_statusRoom/return temperature for trendingRead
BI 1ErrorActiveUnit alarmRead
AI 2ErrorCodeWhich fault is activeRead

Enable & remote start

No enable point or BMS/local switch is documented; the gateway accepts BACnet commands as soon as it is communicating with the unit. A wired remote controller can still be used in parallel; MO 5 RemoteControllerProhibit_command locks it.

Sensors & values from the BMS

Write the BMS room temperature to AO 1 RoomTemperature_command and keep using AO 0 SetPoint_command for the user setpoint. The gateway then runs its Virtual Temperature function: it offsets the setpoint it sends to the unit by the difference between the BMS temperature and the unit's own return temperature, so AI 0 SetPoint_status can differ from what you wrote. Until a first value is written, AO 1 shows Reliability = UNRELIABLE_OTHER and the function stays off.

Integration notes

Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the INBACMID001I100 (Midea VRF gateway) and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. New to BACnet? Start with what a BACnet points list is and what the object types mean.

Questions about the Intesis INBACMID001I100 (Midea VRF gateway)

How many BACnet points does the Intesis INBACMID001I100 (Midea VRF gateway) have?

This list has 30 BACnet objects: 6 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, 5 analog values, 2 binary inputs, 1 binary output, 2 binary values, 6 multi-state inputs, 4 multi-state outputs, 2 multi-state values. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.

Which Intesis INBACMID001I100 (Midea VRF gateway) BACnet points are writable?

11 of the 30 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.

Where is the official Intesis INBACMID001I100 (Midea VRF gateway) BACnet documentation?

The source is Intesis BACnet MS/TP - Midea AC User Manual (INBACMID001I100), revision 3/2027 v2.8 (as printed), published free by Intesis at https://www.hms-networks.com/docs/default-source/products/intesis/manuals-and-guides---manuals/inbacmid001i100-user-manual-en-r1-0.pdf.

What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Intesis INBACMID001I100 (Midea VRF gateway)?

Start with BO 0 OnOff_command (Start/stop the indoor unit); MO 0 Mode_command (Heat/cool/fan/dry/auto selection); AO 0 SetPoint_command (Temperature setpoint from the BMS); MO 1 FanSpeed_command (Fan speed selection); BI 0 OnOff_status (Confirm the unit is running); AI 0 SetPoint_status (Setpoint the unit is really using); AI 1 RoomTemperature_status (Room/return temperature for trending); BI 1 ErrorActive (Unit alarm); AI 2 ErrorCode (Which fault is active).

How do I enable BMS control of the Intesis INBACMID001I100 (Midea VRF gateway)?

No enable point or BMS/local switch is documented; the gateway accepts BACnet commands as soon as it is communicating with the unit. A wired remote controller can still be used in parallel; MO 5 RemoteControllerProhibit_command locks it.

Can the BMS supply sensor values to the Intesis INBACMID001I100 (Midea VRF gateway)?

Write the BMS room temperature to AO 1 RoomTemperature_command and keep using AO 0 SetPoint_command for the user setpoint. The gateway then runs its Virtual Temperature function: it offsets the setpoint it sends to the unit by the difference between the BMS temperature and the unit's own return temperature, so AI 0 SetPoint_status can differ from what you wrote. Until a first value is written, AO 1 shows Reliability = UNRELIABLE_OTHER and the function stays off.

How do I check these points on the real INBACMID001I100 (Midea VRF gateway)?

Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
