Intesis INBACMHI001R000 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateway) BACnet points list
Updated 28 October 2026
A one-unit Intesis interface connected to the X-Y bus between an MHI indoor unit and its wired remote controller, serving the unit as a BACnet MS/TP or BACnet IP device with 30 fixed objects. Some objects (room temperature from BACnet, outdoor temperature) only work when the gateway is set as master of the X-Y bus.
This page lists 30 BACnet objects for the Intesis INBACMHI001R000 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateway) — 12 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Intesis’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Intesis INBACMHI001R000 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateway)
Connect the gateway to the indoor unit (X-Y remote-controller bus, no polarity), set the BACnet network on its DIP switches, then write the _command objects (on/off, mode, setpoint, fan) and read back the matching _status objects. One gateway serves one indoor unit (or one remote-controller group), so give each gateway its own MAC address and device instance.
Minimum points to map
The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.
| Object | Name | Why | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| BO 0 | OnOff_command | Start/stop the indoor unit | Command |
| MO 0 | Mode_command | Heat/cool/fan/dry/auto selection | Command |
| AO 0 | SetPoint_command | Temperature setpoint from the BMS | Command |
| MO 1 | FanSpeed_command | Fan speed selection | Command |
| BI 0 | OnOff_status | Confirm the unit is running | Read |
| AI 0 | SetPoint_status | Setpoint the unit is really using | Read |
| AI 1 | RoomTemperature_status | Room/return temperature for trending | Read |
| BI 1 | ErrorActive | Unit alarm | Read |
| AI 2 | ErrorCode | Which fault is active | Read |
Enable & remote start
No enable point or BMS/local switch is documented; the gateway accepts BACnet commands as soon as it is communicating with the unit. A wired remote controller can still be used in parallel; BV 2 LockRemoteControl locks it.
Sensors & values from the BMS
AO 1 RoomTemperature_command sets the room temperature the MHI unit uses, but only when the gateway is configured as master of the X-Y bus; as slave the write has no effect.
Network setup
- BACnet MS/TP or BACnet IP is chosen with a DIP switch (MS/TP is the default); switch changes need a power cycle.
- BACnet IP: factory static IP 192.168.100.246; change it (or select DHCP) with the Intesis configuration tool.
- MS/TP MAC address 0-127 is set on DIP switches; baud rate is DIP-selectable (9600-115200) with autobaud as the default, which matches the baud rate of another MS/TP device running a fixed rate.
- Default device instance 246000. In automatic mode the instance is a base (246000, changeable in the configuration tool) + the SW2 MAC address; it can also be set manually or by writing Object_Identifier.
- A DIP switch selects slave (default) or master on the X-Y bus; master is needed for AO 1 and AI 8.
Watch out for
- Every function has a separate _command (AO/BO/MO, commandable) and _status (AI/BI/MI) object; write the command, read the status.
- Temperatures follow the Celsius/Fahrenheit DIP switch; the BACnet Units property changes with it.
- The Occupancy MV and its four AVs drive built-in logic that sets mode, setpoint and on/off; leave Occupancy at 3 (Disabled) unless you use it, and any manual on/off, mode or setpoint change cancels it.
- If an MHI wired remote is on the same bus, set master/slave roles so the two do not conflict.

Integration notes
- OutdoorTemp_status (AI 8) and RoomTemperature_command (AO 1) only work with the gateway set as X-Y bus master (DIP switch).
- CenterRemote (MI 9) reports which controller has priority.
- Units shown as °C follow the °C/°F DIP switch.
- ErrorCodeM state texts are the MHI error codes listed in the manual.
Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the INBACMHI001R000 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateway) and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. Questions about the Intesis INBACMHI001R000 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateway)
How many BACnet points does the Intesis INBACMHI001R000 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateway) have?
This list has 30 BACnet objects: 5 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, 5 analog values, 3 binary inputs, 3 binary outputs, 3 binary values, 5 multi-state inputs, 3 multi-state outputs, 1 multi-state value. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.
Which Intesis INBACMHI001R000 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateway) BACnet points are writable?
12 of the 30 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.
Where is the official Intesis INBACMHI001R000 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateway) BACnet documentation?
The source is Intesis BACnet - RAC, FD, KX6 and KXR6 (VRF) series User Manual (INBACMHI001R000) (MH-RC-BAC-1 (legacy code)), revision 09/2024 v1.7, published free by Intesis at https://www.hms-networks.com/docs/default-source/products/intesis/manuals-and-guides---manuals/user-manual-inbacmhi001r000.pdf.
What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Intesis INBACMHI001R000 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateway)?
Start with BO 0 OnOff_command (Start/stop the indoor unit); MO 0 Mode_command (Heat/cool/fan/dry/auto selection); AO 0 SetPoint_command (Temperature setpoint from the BMS); MO 1 FanSpeed_command (Fan speed selection); BI 0 OnOff_status (Confirm the unit is running); AI 0 SetPoint_status (Setpoint the unit is really using); AI 1 RoomTemperature_status (Room/return temperature for trending); BI 1 ErrorActive (Unit alarm); AI 2 ErrorCode (Which fault is active).
How do I enable BMS control of the Intesis INBACMHI001R000 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateway)?
No enable point or BMS/local switch is documented; the gateway accepts BACnet commands as soon as it is communicating with the unit. A wired remote controller can still be used in parallel; BV 2 LockRemoteControl locks it.
Can the BMS supply sensor values to the Intesis INBACMHI001R000 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateway)?
AO 1 RoomTemperature_command sets the room temperature the MHI unit uses, but only when the gateway is configured as master of the X-Y bus; as slave the write has no effect.
How do I check these points on the real INBACMHI001R000 (Mitsubishi Heavy Industries gateway)?
Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
