Neptronic EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller BACnet points list

Updated 28 October 2026

Short answer

The EVCBM Dual Duct controller manages both hot and cold decks of a dual duct box, with separate airflow K-factor, setpoint and balancing objects for the master and slave sides. It talks BACnet MS/TP with a fixed object table. Points cover zone temperature and setpoints, demands, both airflow channels and output configuration.

This page lists 136 BACnet objects for the Neptronic EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller — 109 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Neptronic’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Neptronic EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller

Integration in brief

Read the zone temperature, setpoint, demands and airflow, and drive occupancy with MSV.11. To control from a BMS space temperature, set MSV.4 to Network Sensor and keep writing AV.1 ControlTemp faster than the Cfg_NetworkTimeOut period (AV.145).

Minimum points to map

The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.

ObjectNameWhyAccess
MV 11NsbOccCommandBMS occupancy / night setback / off commandWrite
AV 15TempSetPointOccupied/day zone setpointWrite
MV 4Cfg_TempControlSourceSelect internal, external or network temperatureWrite
AV 1ControlTempControl temp; BMS writes it when MSV.4 = Network SensorWrite
MV 12OccupancyStatusActual occupancy stateRead
AV 110ActualAirFlow1Measured airflowRead
AV 111AirFlowSetPoint1Airflow setpoint calculated from demandRead
AV 121ActualAirFlow2Measured airflow of the slave (second) ductRead
AV 20HeatingDemand1Heating ramp demand, %Read
AV 40CoolingDemand1Cooling ramp demand, %Read

Enable & remote start

Occupancy and off are commanded with MSV.11 NsbOccCommand: Locally (wired input/sensor decides), Occupancy, No Occupancy (night setback) or OFF.

Heartbeat & communication loss

AV.145 Cfg_NetworkTimeOut (0-60 min): when the temperature source is Network/Remote and the BMS has not written a temperature within this time, the EVC goes to OFF and AV.1 shows 999°C in fault. Setting it to 0 makes AV.1 fall back to the AV.15 setpoint value instead.

Sensors & values from the BMS

Set MSV.4 Cfg_TempControlSource to Network Sensor; AV.1 ControlTemp then becomes writable and must be refreshed by the BMS (see AV.145).

Integration notes

Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. New to BACnet? Start with what a BACnet points list is and what the object types mean.

Questions about the Neptronic EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller

How many BACnet points does the Neptronic EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller have?

This list has 136 BACnet objects: 4 analog inputs, 1 analog output, 74 analog values, 2 binary inputs, 2 binary outputs, 30 binary values, 23 multi-state values. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.

Which Neptronic EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller BACnet points are writable?

109 of the 136 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.

Where is the official Neptronic EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller BACnet documentation?

The source is EVCBM Dual Duct BACnet Communication Module User Guide (EVCBM Dual Duct-V500-BACnet Guide-EUA-180927), revision 2018-09-27, published free by Neptronic at https://www.neptronic.com/Controls/PDF/EVC/BACnetModbus/20181001/EVCBM%20Dual%20Duct-V500-BACnet%20Guide-EUA-180927.pdf.

What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Neptronic EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller?

Start with MV 11 NsbOccCommand (BMS occupancy / night setback / off command); AV 15 TempSetPoint (Occupied/day zone setpoint); MV 4 Cfg_TempControlSource (Select internal, external or network temperature); AV 1 ControlTemp (Control temp; BMS writes it when MSV.4 = Network Sensor); MV 12 OccupancyStatus (Actual occupancy state); AV 110 ActualAirFlow1 (Measured airflow); AV 111 AirFlowSetPoint1 (Airflow setpoint calculated from demand); AV 121 ActualAirFlow2 (Measured airflow of the slave (second) duct); AV 20 HeatingDemand1 (Heating ramp demand, %); AV 40 CoolingDemand1 (Cooling ramp demand, %).

How do I enable BMS control of the Neptronic EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller?

Occupancy and off are commanded with MSV.11 NsbOccCommand: Locally (wired input/sensor decides), Occupancy, No Occupancy (night setback) or OFF.

Does the Neptronic EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller need a BACnet heartbeat or have a communication timeout?

AV.145 Cfg_NetworkTimeOut (0-60 min): when the temperature source is Network/Remote and the BMS has not written a temperature within this time, the EVC goes to OFF and AV.1 shows 999°C in fault. Setting it to 0 makes AV.1 fall back to the AV.15 setpoint value instead.

Can the BMS supply sensor values to the Neptronic EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller?

Set MSV.4 Cfg_TempControlSource to Network Sensor; AV.1 ControlTemp then becomes writable and must be refreshed by the BMS (see AV.145).

How do I check these points on the real EVCBM Dual Duct VAV Controller?

Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
