Condair Condair RS BACnet points list

Updated 28 October 2026

Short answer

The Condair RS is an electric heating-element steam humidifier with one or two cylinders. The Integrated Controller exposes BACnet IP and MS/TP on-board. Objects report per-cylinder status, level, capacity, maintenance countdowns and safety chain inputs, plus two-channel setpoints and writable demand inputs for main and limiter signals.

This page lists 62 BACnet objects for the Condair Condair RS — 13 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Condair’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Condair Condair RS

Integration in brief

Enable BACnet in the Integrated Controller, set the signal source to BACnet, and write demand or RH to AO 15012 (and a limiter value to AO 15014 if dual signal control is used) within the signal timeout. Read cylinder A/B status, the error status and code, and actual capacity.

Minimum points to map

The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.

Enable & remote start

Set Menu > password 8808 > Controls > Signal Settings > Source to BACnet and pick the Control Mode (Demand, RH P or RH PI; On/Off also exists). With Source left at Analog the unit ignores BACnet control values.

Heartbeat & communication loss

When the signal source is not Analog, the demand/humidity value written over BACnet must be refreshed within the Signal Timeout (1-300 s, default 300 s). If it is not, warning W35 Signal Timeout is raised and the unit stops until a new value arrives, so the BMS must keep rewriting the AO.

Sensors & values from the BMS

In Demand mode the BMS writes the required output (0-100 %) to the RH/Demand AO. In RH P or RH PI mode the BMS writes the measured humidity there and the controller's own setpoint, P-band and I-time AVs do the control. Do not connect a hard-wired demand or sensor signal while the BACnet signal is used. Channel 2 (AO 15014) is only active with dual signal control, typically a supply-air high limit.

Integration notes

Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the Condair RS and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. New to BACnet? Start with what a BACnet points list is and what the object types mean.

Questions about the Condair Condair RS

How many BACnet points does the Condair Condair RS have?

This list has 62 BACnet objects: 19 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, 10 analog values, 25 binary inputs, 1 device, 4 multi-state inputs, 1 other. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.

Which Condair Condair RS BACnet points are writable?

13 of the 62 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.

Where is the official Condair Condair RS BACnet documentation?

The source is BACnet on-board - Addendum manual for installation and operation (DL II, ME II, RS II, RO-E and Vita) (2603582-F), revision 2026-07, published free by Condair at https://www.condair.co.uk/consense/bms-communication-ic-2.0/am_bms_interface_bacnet_on_board_2603582_en.pdf.

What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Condair Condair RS?

Start with AO 15012 RH or Demand CH1 via BACnet (Channel 1 demand or RH from the BMS); AO 15014 RH or Demand CH2 via BACnet (Channel 2 limiter signal (dual signal control)); AV 15094 Setpoint CH1 (Channel 1 humidity setpoint used in RH P/PI mode); MI 5109 Device Status Cyl. A (Cylinder A status); MI 5110 Device Status Cyl. B (Cylinder B status (dual units)); AI 10225 Actual Hum. Capacity (Actual steam output); MI 5159 Error Status (Maintenance/error status); AI 10020 ErrorWarning Code (Active error or warning code).

How do I enable BMS control of the Condair Condair RS?

Set Menu > password 8808 > Controls > Signal Settings > Source to BACnet and pick the Control Mode (Demand, RH P or RH PI; On/Off also exists). With Source left at Analog the unit ignores BACnet control values.

Does the Condair Condair RS need a BACnet heartbeat or have a communication timeout?

When the signal source is not Analog, the demand/humidity value written over BACnet must be refreshed within the Signal Timeout (1-300 s, default 300 s). If it is not, warning W35 Signal Timeout is raised and the unit stops until a new value arrives, so the BMS must keep rewriting the AO.

Can the BMS supply sensor values to the Condair Condair RS?

In Demand mode the BMS writes the required output (0-100 %) to the RH/Demand AO. In RH P or RH PI mode the BMS writes the measured humidity there and the controller's own setpoint, P-band and I-time AVs do the control. Do not connect a hard-wired demand or sensor signal while the BACnet signal is used. Channel 2 (AO 15014) is only active with dual signal control, typically a supply-air high limit.

How do I check these points on the real Condair RS?

Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
