Siemens BACnet PTEC VAV Controller - Application 6607 (Parallel Fan with Hot Water Reheat) BACnet points list
Updated 28 October 2026
Application 6607 controls a parallel fan-powered VAV box with a hot water reheat valve on a Siemens BACnet PTEC controller over BACnet MS/TP. The supply damper modulates for cooling; in heating the parallel fan recirculates plenum air and the valve modulates on the heating loop. PARALLEL ON/OFF set when the fan runs, compared with the heating loop or with the supply airflow.
This page lists 95 BACnet objects for the Siemens BACnet PTEC VAV Controller - Application 6607 (Parallel Fan with Hot Water Reheat) — 80 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Siemens’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Siemens BACnet PTEC VAV Controller - Application 6607 (Parallel Fan with Hot Water Reheat)
Address the controller on the BACnet MS/TP trunk (manually or with auto addressing), then release the box to application control. The BMS commands occupancy with DAY.NGT (BO 29) and the day setpoints, and reads room temperature, airflow, damper and valve position, fan status and the error status.
Minimum points to map
The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.
| Object | Name | Why | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| BO 29 | DAY.NGT | DAY = occupied, NIGHT = unoccupied | Command |
| AO 6 | DAY CLG STPT | Occupied cooling setpoint, °F | Command |
| AO 7 | DAY HTG STPT | Occupied heating setpoint, °F | Command |
| BO 5 | HEAT.COOL | Current mode: HEAT or COOL | Command |
| BO 46 | FAN | Parallel fan on/off | Command |
| AI 4 | ROOM TEMP | Space temperature | Read |

| AO 49 | DMPR POS | Primary air damper position, % | Command |
| AO 53 | VLV POS | Reheat valve position, % | Command |
| AO 99 | ERROR STATUS | Controller error code | Command |
Enable & remote start
Occupancy is DAY.NGT (BO 29). With a wall switch on DI 2 and WALL SWITCH (BO 18) = YES, the switch sets it; standalone with no switch the controller stays in day mode; on a network the field panel or BMS commands DAY.NGT. NGT OVRD (BO 21) shows a temporary night override from the room unit button.
Sensors & values from the BMS
VENT DMD MIN (AO 105) sets the occupied ventilation minimum airflow and can be adjusted by the field panel; the larger of it and the cooling or heating minimum is used.
Network setup
- BACnet MS/TP only. CTLR ADDRESS (AO 1) holds the MS/TP address; the factory value is 255.
- APPLICATION (AO 2) holds the application number; the point table lists its factory default as 6687.
Watch out for
- As shipped, the controller keeps all equipment OFF until it is released to application control (see Siemens start-up procedures).
- With a digital room unit (revision 26 and later), a command sent through the room unit puts the matching BACnet input Out Of Service.
- Loop gains, motor timing, rotation angles and setup codes are commissioning values; don't write them from the BMS routinely.

Integration notes
- AI and BI objects are read-only. AO and BO objects are BACnet output objects with a priority array; the guide has no access column, so access is inferred from object type. Many AOs are calculated status values, not commands.
- Instances shown in braces in the guide may be unbundled at a field panel; that marking is not reproduced here.
- Units are given in US units (°F, cfm, ft²); the guide also lists SI factory defaults.
- The guide covers controllers with firmware newer than revision Bx40; older firmware has separate documentation.
- The series fan application 6605 (doc 140-1165) has nearly the same object list, with SERIES ON/OFF at AO 26/27 in place of PARALLEL ON/OFF.
- The parallel fan is on DO 6 (BO 46); the reheat valve is on DO 3/DO 4.
Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the BACnet PTEC VAV Controller - Application 6607 (Parallel Fan with Hot Water Reheat) and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. Questions about the Siemens BACnet PTEC VAV Controller - Application 6607 (Parallel Fan with Hot Water Reheat)
How many BACnet points does the Siemens BACnet PTEC VAV Controller - Application 6607 (Parallel Fan with Hot Water Reheat) have?
This list has 95 BACnet objects: 9 analog inputs, 64 analog outputs, 6 binary inputs, 16 binary outputs. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.
Which Siemens BACnet PTEC VAV Controller - Application 6607 (Parallel Fan with Hot Water Reheat) BACnet points are writable?
80 of the 95 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done. The source has no read/write column, so this is inferred from object type.
Where is the official Siemens BACnet PTEC VAV Controller - Application 6607 (Parallel Fan with Hot Water Reheat) BACnet documentation?
The source is BACnet PTEC Controller Terminal Box (VAV) - Parallel Fan and Hot Water Reheat, Application 6607, Application Note (140-1167), revision 2014-10-27, published free by Siemens at https://sid.siemens.com/api/khub/documents/wr9xz5ZzEmjplSEOTkFTZg/content.
What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Siemens BACnet PTEC VAV Controller - Application 6607 (Parallel Fan with Hot Water Reheat)?
Start with BO 29 DAY.NGT (DAY = occupied, NIGHT = unoccupied); AO 6 DAY CLG STPT (Occupied cooling setpoint, °F); AO 7 DAY HTG STPT (Occupied heating setpoint, °F); BO 5 HEAT.COOL (Current mode: HEAT or COOL); BO 46 FAN (Parallel fan on/off); AI 4 ROOM TEMP (Space temperature); AI 35 AIR VOLUME (Measured primary airflow, cfm); AO 49 DMPR POS (Primary air damper position, %); AO 53 VLV POS (Reheat valve position, %); AO 99 ERROR STATUS (Controller error code).
How do I enable BMS control of the Siemens BACnet PTEC VAV Controller - Application 6607 (Parallel Fan with Hot Water Reheat)?
Occupancy is DAY.NGT (BO 29). With a wall switch on DI 2 and WALL SWITCH (BO 18) = YES, the switch sets it; standalone with no switch the controller stays in day mode; on a network the field panel or BMS commands DAY.NGT. NGT OVRD (BO 21) shows a temporary night override from the room unit button.
Can the BMS supply sensor values to the Siemens BACnet PTEC VAV Controller - Application 6607 (Parallel Fan with Hot Water Reheat)?
VENT DMD MIN (AO 105) sets the occupied ventilation minimum airflow and can be adjusted by the field panel; the larger of it and the cooling or heating minimum is used.
How do I check these points on the real BACnet PTEC VAV Controller - Application 6607 (Parallel Fan with Hot Water Reheat)?
Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
