Schneider Electric Altivar Process ATV600 (BACnet MS/TP) BACnet points list
Updated 28 October 2026
The Altivar Process ATV600 drives talk BACnet MS/TP as a B-ASC with a fixed object list. It covers relay and logic input status, run/stop, direction and fault reset commands, a speed reference, motor measurements, the last three faults, two analog outputs, eight read and eight write comm-scanner values, and a mailbox (MBOX) for reading or writing any drive parameter.
This page lists 74 BACnet objects for the Schneider Electric Altivar Process ATV600 (BACnet MS/TP) — 29 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Schneider Electric’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Schneider Electric Altivar Process ATV600 (BACnet MS/TP)
Write BV 10 RUN/STOP CMD and AV 16 INPUT REF 1 (%), and read BV 0, BV 2, BV 4 and AV 1/AV 4/AV 6 for status, fault, hand/auto, frequency, current and power. BV 14 resets a fault on a rising edge; AV 18-20 hold the current and two previous faults. Any other drive parameter can be read or written through the MBOX objects.
Minimum points to map
The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.
| Object | Name | Why | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| BV 10 | RUN/STOP CMD | Start/stop from the BMS | Command |
| AV 16 | INPUT REF 1 | Speed reference in % | Command |
| BV 14 | FAULT RESET | Reset a tripped drive (rising edge) | Write |
| BV 0 | RUN/STOP ACT | Running status | Read |
| BV 4 | HAND/AUTO ACT | Shows if the drive is in Hand | Read |
| AV 1 | OUTPUT FREQ | Output frequency in Hz | Read |
| AV 4 | CURRENT | Motor amps | Read |
| AV 6 | POWER | Motor power in % | Read |
| BV 2 | FAULT ACT | Any active drive fault | Read |
| AV 18 | LAST FAULT | Which fault is active | Read |
Sensors & values from the BMS
The BMS can write the process PID setpoint to AV 27 EXT PID STPT. The document lists no BMS-written PID feedback object; COM SCAN OUT1-8 can carry other values into mapped drive registers.
Network setup
- BACnet MS/TP master; baud rate Auto, 9600, 19200, 38400 or 76800.
- Segmented requests and responses are supported (window size 3); COV subscriptions are supported.
- Objects are static; none can be created or deleted.
Watch out for
- The PICS does not say which drive settings (command and reference channel) must point at the fieldbus for BV 10 and AV 16 to act; check the drive programming manual.
- To read a parameter: write its logic address to AV 25 MBOX PARAM, set BV 15 MBOX READ, then read AV 26 MBOX DATA.
- To write a parameter: write the address to AV 25, the value to AV 26, then set BV 16 MBOX WRITE.
- BV 15 and BV 16 drop back to inactive after the command is sent and always read 0.
- AV 6 POWER and the AV 7/AV 15 thermal states are in %, not kW or degrees.

Integration notes
- Access is as printed: R read-only, W writable, C commandable.
- Gaps in the instance numbering are not used; only the listed objects exist.
- AI 16 and AI 17 report the analog output values even though they are Analog Input objects.
- BO 0-2 only drive a relay when that relay has no other function assigned in the drive.
- COM SCAN OUT1-8 and IN1-8 carry whatever drive registers are mapped in the comm scanner.
- Names kept as printed, including 'KWH(R'. The doc gives both BI 8 and BI 9 the LI3 text and BV 23 only 'HELP'.
Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the Altivar Process ATV600 (BACnet MS/TP) and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. Questions about the Schneider Electric Altivar Process ATV600 (BACnet MS/TP)
How many BACnet points does the Schneider Electric Altivar Process ATV600 (BACnet MS/TP) have?
This list has 74 BACnet objects: 5 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, 38 analog values, 9 binary inputs, 3 binary outputs, 17 binary values. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.
Which Schneider Electric Altivar Process ATV600 (BACnet MS/TP) BACnet points are writable?
29 of the 74 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.
Where is the official Schneider Electric Altivar Process ATV600 (BACnet MS/TP) BACnet documentation?
The source is BACnet Protocol Implementation Conformance Statement, Altivar Process ATV630/ATV650/ATV660/ATV690, revision 2018-03-07, published free by Schneider Electric at https://www.bacnetinternational.net/catalog/manu/schneider%20electric/pics_atv6x.pdf.
What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Schneider Electric Altivar Process ATV600 (BACnet MS/TP)?
Start with BV 10 RUN/STOP CMD (Start/stop from the BMS); AV 16 INPUT REF 1 (Speed reference in %); BV 14 FAULT RESET (Reset a tripped drive (rising edge)); BV 0 RUN/STOP ACT (Running status); BV 4 HAND/AUTO ACT (Shows if the drive is in Hand); AV 1 OUTPUT FREQ (Output frequency in Hz); AV 4 CURRENT (Motor amps); AV 6 POWER (Motor power in %); BV 2 FAULT ACT (Any active drive fault); AV 18 LAST FAULT (Which fault is active).
Can the BMS supply sensor values to the Schneider Electric Altivar Process ATV600 (BACnet MS/TP)?
The BMS can write the process PID setpoint to AV 27 EXT PID STPT. The document lists no BMS-written PID feedback object; COM SCAN OUT1-8 can carry other values into mapped drive registers.
How do I check these points on the real Altivar Process ATV600 (BACnet MS/TP)?
Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
