Yaskawa SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives) BACnet points list
Updated 28 October 2026
The SI-B3 is a plug-in card that puts Yaskawa 1000-series and FP605/iQpump605 drives on BACnet MS/TP. Its fixed object list mirrors the drive's Modbus registers: analog and digital I/O, run/fault/reset commands, frequency and PID setpoint references, output monitors, fault and status flags, and later energy, run-time and fault-code objects. AV29/AV30 give generic access to any drive parameter.
This page lists 121 BACnet objects for the Yaskawa SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives) — 32 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Yaskawa’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Yaskawa SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives)
Fit the SI-B3, set the MS/TP address in F6-45, the baud rate in F6-46 and the device instance in F6-48/F6-49, and power-cycle. Set b1-01 = 3 and b1-02 = 3 (Option PCB) so BACnet supplies the frequency reference and run command. Write BV1 RUN FWD and AV2 Frequency Command, read BV13/BV16 and AV10/AV12/AV13, and reset faults with BV4.
Minimum points to map
The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.
| Object | Name | Why | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| BV 1 | RUN FWD | Start/stop from the BMS (drive) | Command |
| AV 2 | Frequency Command | Frequency reference, units per o1-03 | Command |
| BV 4 | FAULT RESET | Reset a tripped drive | Command |
| BV 13 | RUN-STOP | Running status | Read |
| BV 15 | READY | Drive ready to run | Read |
| AV 10 | Output Frequency | Output frequency, units per o1-03 | Read |
| AV 12 | Output Current | Motor amps | Read |
| AV 13 | Output Power | Drive power in kW | Read |
| BV 16 | FAULT | Any active drive fault | Read |
| AV 40 | Last Drive Fault | Most recent fault code | Read |
Enable & remote start
b1-01 Frequency Reference Selection 1 = 3 (Option PCB) and b1-02 Run Command Selection 1 = 3 (Option PCB). The defaults differ by drive model. BV5 COM NET and BV6 COM CNTRL (COM/LOCAL) are also provided.
Heartbeat & communication loss
When the drive loses the option link it raises bUS (Option Communication Error) and acts per F6-01: 0 ramp to stop, 1 coast, 2 fast stop, 3 alarm only, 4 alarm and run at d1-04, 5 alarm and ramp stop (4 and 5 only on some drives). F6-04 sets the bUS detection delay and F7-16 a communication-loss timeout in tenths of a second (both need option software VST800265+). F6-14 = 1 resets the bUS fault automatically when communication returns.
Sensors & values from the BMS
AV3 PID Setpoint lets the BMS write the PID setpoint; BO4 Ref Sel: PID Setpoint (or AV5 bit 1) selects it.
Network setup
- F6-45 sets the MS/TP MAC address (0-127, default 1).
- F6-46 sets the baud rate, 1200 to 115200 bps (default setting 3 = 9600 bps).
- Device instance = F6-48 (low word) + F6-49 (high word), in hex; default 1. Example: 1234 is F6-48 = 4D2H, F6-49 = 0.
- F6-47 sets the drive transmit wait time (5-65 ms).
- Up to 127 drives per MS/TP segment; an EPICS file is available from Yaskawa.
Watch out for
- F6-01 settings 3 and 4 keep the drive running after a communication fault.
- BV56 Parameter Enter writes EEPROM; don't use it cyclically.
- Several objects only exist with newer option software (VST800265 / VST800266).
- AV39 Drive HOA Status does not work on iQpump1000, FP605 or iQpump605.

Integration notes
- Objects named Not Used (AI3-AI5, AV31, AV32, AV41, BI10-BI27, BI30) are left out.
- Drive-dependent object names: AV33 is Drive kWh on A1000, P1000, iQpump1000, FP605 and iQpump605 but Drive kWh Consumed on U1000; AV34 is Drive kWh Produced on U1000 and Not Used AV34 on the other drives; AV39 is Drive HOA Status on A1000, FP605 and iQpump605 but Drive Control Status on U1000, P1000 and iQpump1000. The names listed here are the A1000-family names except AV34 (U1000 only).
- AV1, AV4 and AV5 are packed command words; don't combine them with the single-bit objects they duplicate.
- Frequency units follow the drive's o1-03 display setting.
- Each description gives the drive Modbus register where the manual lists one.
Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives) and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. Questions about the Yaskawa SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives)
How many BACnet points does the Yaskawa SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives) have?
This list has 121 BACnet objects: 6 analog inputs, 2 analog outputs, 39 analog values, 11 binary inputs, 7 binary outputs, 56 binary values. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.
Which Yaskawa SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives) BACnet points are writable?
32 of the 121 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.
Where is the official Yaskawa SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives) BACnet documentation?
The source is YASKAWA AC Drive Option BACnet MS/TP Installation & Technical Manual, Model SI-B3 (TOEP YAICOM 22B), published free by Yaskawa at https://www.yaskawa.com/delegate/getAttachment?documentId=TOEPYAICOM22&cmd=documents&documentName=TOEPYAICOM22.pdf.
What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Yaskawa SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives)?
Start with BV 1 RUN FWD (Start/stop from the BMS (drive)); AV 2 Frequency Command (Frequency reference, units per o1-03); BV 4 FAULT RESET (Reset a tripped drive); BV 13 RUN-STOP (Running status); BV 15 READY (Drive ready to run); AV 10 Output Frequency (Output frequency, units per o1-03); AV 12 Output Current (Motor amps); AV 13 Output Power (Drive power in kW); BV 16 FAULT (Any active drive fault); AV 40 Last Drive Fault (Most recent fault code).
How do I enable BMS control of the Yaskawa SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives)?
b1-01 Frequency Reference Selection 1 = 3 (Option PCB) and b1-02 Run Command Selection 1 = 3 (Option PCB). The defaults differ by drive model. BV5 COM NET and BV6 COM CNTRL (COM/LOCAL) are also provided.
Does the Yaskawa SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives) need a BACnet heartbeat or have a communication timeout?
When the drive loses the option link it raises bUS (Option Communication Error) and acts per F6-01: 0 ramp to stop, 1 coast, 2 fast stop, 3 alarm only, 4 alarm and run at d1-04, 5 alarm and ramp stop (4 and 5 only on some drives). F6-04 sets the bUS detection delay and F7-16 a communication-loss timeout in tenths of a second (both need option software VST800265+). F6-14 = 1 resets the bUS fault automatically when communication returns.
Can the BMS supply sensor values to the Yaskawa SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives)?
AV3 PID Setpoint lets the BMS write the PID setpoint; BO4 Ref Sel: PID Setpoint (or AV5 bit 1) selects it.
How do I check these points on the real SI-B3 BACnet MS/TP option (A1000, P1000, U1000, FP605 drives)?
Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
