CaptiveAire Self Cleaning System (SCS) Control Panel BACnet points list

Updated 28 October 2026

Short answer

The CaptiveAire Self Cleaning System (SCS) is a wall-mounted panel with a water manifold, wash solenoids and a surfactant pump that washes kitchen exhaust hoods (hot water wash) or sprays cold water mist while cooking. Its ECPM03 board can also run two exhaust/supply fan zones and two light zones and monitor fire, kill/tamper switch, overloads and PCU filters. BACnet IP or MS/TP comes from a factory-mounted Protocessor gateway set at the factory for one of the two. The 131 objects are read-only temperatures, 'on by' reason flags, faults and PCU alarms, plus seven button BVs for fans, lights and wash.

This page lists 131 BACnet objects for the CaptiveAire Self Cleaning System (SCS) Control Panel — 7 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from CaptiveAire’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: CaptiveAire Self Cleaning System (SCS) Control Panel

Integration in brief

Map the fan, light and wash button BVs for control, confirm with the FanZoneONbyBMS and LightONbyBMS flags, and monitor the fire, KTS, overload, surfactant and Modbus faults. A BMS wash runs once at any time, regardless of whether the fans are on, so the BMS should check the fan state first.

Minimum points to map

The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.

Enable & remote start

Fans may be started via BACnet, LonWorks or CASlink, but fan and light zones only exist when the wash operation is set to Local; in Remote wash the ECPM03 only monitors. With 'Lights With Fan' enabled the lights follow the fans; otherwise the HMI button or BMS can switch them.

Integration notes

Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the Self Cleaning System (SCS) Control Panel and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. New to BACnet? Start with what a BACnet points list is and what the object types mean.

Questions about the CaptiveAire Self Cleaning System (SCS) Control Panel

How many BACnet points does the CaptiveAire Self Cleaning System (SCS) Control Panel have?

This list has 131 BACnet objects: 42 analog inputs, 82 binary inputs, 7 binary values. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.

Which CaptiveAire Self Cleaning System (SCS) Control Panel BACnet points are writable?

7 of the 131 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.

Where is the official CaptiveAire Self Cleaning System (SCS) Control Panel BACnet documentation?

The source is Self Cleaning System Control Panel Installation, Operation, and Maintenance Manual (A0017476), revision February 2025 Rev. 13, published free by CaptiveAire at https://www.captiveaire.com/manuals/electrical/scs-oim.pdf.

What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the CaptiveAire Self Cleaning System (SCS) Control Panel?

Start with BV 125 FansONButtonZone1 (Zone 1 fans button, BMS fan start); BV 129 WashButtonZone1 (Zone 1 wash button; runs even with fans on); BI 44 FanZoneONbyBMS1 (Confirms zone 1 fans are on by BMS command); AI 33 Temperature Zone 1 (Zone 1 temperature, °F); BI 71 FaultFireZ1 (Fire system tripped); BI 73 FaultKTSZ1 (Kill/tamper switch (KTS) tripped); BI 74 FaultOverloadZoneOneZ1 (Fan zone 1 overload tripped); BI 76 FaultSurfactantLowZ1 (Surfactant tank low); BI 97 ModbusFaultCode (Modbus fault (typed BI despite 'Code' in the name)).

How do I enable BMS control of the CaptiveAire Self Cleaning System (SCS) Control Panel?

Fans may be started via BACnet, LonWorks or CASlink, but fan and light zones only exist when the wash operation is set to Local; in Remote wash the ECPM03 only monitors. With 'Lights With Fan' enabled the lights follow the fans; otherwise the HMI button or BMS can switch them.

How do I check these points on the real Self Cleaning System (SCS) Control Panel?

Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
