Bosch Control Air 5600 - Water to Water (WWZ software) BACnet points list

Updated 28 October 2026

Short answer

The Control Air 5600 also runs a water-to-water program (WWZ) for Bosch water-to-water heat pumps. Over BACnet MS/TP it exposes occupancy, control mode and source, Fahrenheit and Celsius setpoint pairs, load/leaving water temperatures, compressor and pump states and UPM safety alarms.

This page lists 67 BACnet objects for the Bosch Control Air 5600 - Water to Water (WWZ software) — 30 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Bosch’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Bosch Control Air 5600 - Water to Water (WWZ software)

Integration in brief

Leave Control Source at BAS Occupancy Command, command occupancy with occupancy_cmd_1, pick the control mode (heat, cool, auto changeover or digital input) and write the occupied setpoints. Watch current_alarm_1 and alrm_status_1 plus the load and leaving water temperatures.

Minimum points to map

The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.

Enable & remote start

Set ctrl_source_1 (AV 16) to 2 = BAS Occupancy Command (default) and write occupancy_cmd_1 (BV 1). ctrl_mode_1 (AV 17) defaults to 4 = digital input (off = heat, on = cool), so set it to heat, cool or auto changeover for network control.

Integration notes

Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the Control Air 5600 - Water to Water (WWZ software) and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. New to BACnet? Start with what a BACnet points list is and what the object types mean.

Questions about the Bosch Control Air 5600 - Water to Water (WWZ software)

How many BACnet points does the Bosch Control Air 5600 - Water to Water (WWZ software) have?

This list has 67 BACnet objects: 27 analog values, 40 binary values. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.

Which Bosch Control Air 5600 - Water to Water (WWZ software) BACnet points are writable?

30 of the 67 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.

Where is the official Bosch Control Air 5600 - Water to Water (WWZ software) BACnet documentation?

The source is Bosch TT - Water to Water Network Integration Points List (WWZ.1.03), published free by Bosch at https://www.bosch-homecomfort.com/us/media/country_pool/service/technical_guides/ipl_wwz_1_03.pdf.

What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Bosch Control Air 5600 - Water to Water (WWZ software)?

Start with BV 1 occupancy_cmd_1 (BAS occupied command; 1 enables unit operation); AV 16 ctrl_source_1 (Occupancy source; 2 = BAS occupancy command (default)); AV 17 ctrl_mode_1 (Off / heat / cool / auto changeover / digital input); AV 4 occ_clg_stpt_1 (Occupied cooling setpoint); AV 2 occ_htg_stpt_1 (Occupied heating setpoint); AV 18 sys_mode_1 (Operating state: 1 neutral, 2 heating, 3 cooling); AV 10 eff_load_tmp_f_1 (Load water temperature); AV 9 eff_lvg_wtr_tmp_1 (Leaving water temperature); AV 19 current_alarm_1 (Active alarm code); BV 20 alrm_status_1 (Alarm present flag).

How do I enable BMS control of the Bosch Control Air 5600 - Water to Water (WWZ software)?

Set ctrl_source_1 (AV 16) to 2 = BAS Occupancy Command (default) and write occupancy_cmd_1 (BV 1). ctrl_mode_1 (AV 17) defaults to 4 = digital input (off = heat, on = cool), so set it to heat, cool or auto changeover for network control.

How do I check these points on the real Control Air 5600 - Water to Water (WWZ software)?

Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
