RenewAire BACnet Fan Control BACNETFC-W BACnet points list
Updated 28 October 2026
The BACNETFC-W is a wall-mounted controller accessory that lets a BMS turn a RenewAire ERV on and off over BACnet MS/TP, alongside its keypad and a remote interlock input. On HE and LE units it also sets supply and exhaust fan speeds independently as 0-10 V signals; on EV Premium(+) and SL units it only switches the fan enable. The object list is small and fixed: 16 objects.
This page lists 16 BACnet objects for the RenewAire BACnet Fan Control BACNETFC-W — 5 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from RenewAire’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: RenewAire BACnet Fan Control BACNETFC-W
Set BMS Enable to ON in the controller's program menu (or write BV 1), then start and stop the ERV with BV 2. On HE and LE units write the supply and exhaust fan setpoints (AV 1, AV 2) as 0-10 V. Read BV 4 for unit status; there is no alarm object.
Minimum points to map
The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.
| Object | Name | Why | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| BV 2 | BMS On/Off | Run/stop command (1 = on) | Write |
| BV 1 | Enable BMS | Must be On for BMS on/off control | Write |
| AV 1 | Supply Fan Setpoint | Supply fan speed signal, 0-10 V (HE/LE units) | Write |
| AV 2 | Exhaust Fan Setpoint | Exhaust fan speed signal, 0-10 V (HE/LE units) | Write |
| BV 4 | Unit Status | Unit on/off status | Read |
| BI 1 | Interlock | Interlock input, 1 = closed | Read |
Enable & remote start
BMS Enable (BV 1, also in the keypad's program menu) must be ON for the BMS to switch the unit with BV 2. The manual says that with it on, all conditions must be met for the unit to start; the main screen shows separate run indicators for the user setting (BV 3), the BMS and the interlock (BI 1).
Heartbeat & communication loss
AV 3 Network Activity Timeout (1-120 s, default 60 s) is set at the keypad in program mode. The supplement does not say what the controller does when it expires.
Network setup
- BACnet MS/TP; set the baud rate (9600-115200 bps) and network settings under Server Settings in the program menu.
- Program mode: move jumper JP1 to PGM; changes save immediately; move it back to RUN when done.
- For normal running, set JP1 to RUN, JP2 to AO1 and JP3 to NONE.
- Wire an interlock device (smoke detector, occupancy sensor) to U1, or jumper U1 to common.
Watch out for
- AO 1/AO 2 and BO 1-4 are the controller's actual outputs and are read only; command through AV 1/AV 2 and BV 2.
- EV Premium(+) and SL units have no variable fan speed through this controller, only on/off.
- BV 3 User On/Off is also changed at the keypad, so it can differ from what the BMS last wrote.

Integration notes
- Access follows the manual's descriptions: AV 1, AV 2 and BV 1-3 are writable from BACnet; AV 3, AV 7 and AV 8 are described as writable only from the keypad in program mode, so they are listed read only.
- Fan setpoints (AV 1, AV 2) apply to units with variable-speed fans (HE and LE series); EV Premium(+) and SL units only use the fan enable.
- The MS/TP baud rate is set at the keypad: 9600, 19200, 38400, 57600, 76800 or 115200 bps.
- The supplement does not give a default MAC address or device instance in its readable text.
Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the BACnet Fan Control BACNETFC-W and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. New to BACnet? Questions about the RenewAire BACnet Fan Control BACNETFC-W
How many BACnet points does the RenewAire BACnet Fan Control BACNETFC-W have?
This list has 16 BACnet objects: 2 analog outputs, 5 analog values, 1 binary input, 4 binary outputs, 4 binary values. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.
Which RenewAire BACnet Fan Control BACNETFC-W BACnet points are writable?
5 of the 16 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.
Where is the official RenewAire BACnet Fan Control BACNETFC-W BACnet documentation?
