Lennox VRF BACnet Gateway V0CTRL95P-3 BACnet points list
Updated 28 October 2026
The V0CTRL95P-3 connects Lennox VRF systems to a BMS over BACnet IP, with four RS-485 buses to the VRF units and an Ethernet port. Each indoor and outdoor unit appears as its own BACnet device whose device ID encodes the bus, unit type and unit address; inside each device the object instances are fixed, so one indoor template and one outdoor template cover the site. Indoor units take on/off, mode, fan speed and setpoint commands; outdoor units are mostly monitoring plus an emergency stop.
This page lists 42 BACnet objects for the Lennox VRF BACnet Gateway V0CTRL95P-3 — 13 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Lennox’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Lennox VRF BACnet Gateway V0CTRL95P-3
Connect the VRF buses to the gateway's four RS-485 ports, set the gateway's IP settings from a web browser, then discover the per-unit BACnet devices. Map each indoor unit's on/off, mode, fan speed and setpoint commands plus room temperature and alarm; outdoor unit devices are for monitoring.
Minimum points to map
The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.
| Object | Name | Why | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| BV 1 | On/Off Setting | Start/stop indoor unit | Write |
| MV 1 | Mode Setting | Mode command (3 = cool, 4 = heat, 5 = auto) | Write |
| AV 1 | Temperature Setting | Setpoint command | Write |
| MV 2 | Fan Speed Setting | Fan speed command (8 = auto) | Write |
| AI 1 | Room Temperature | Indoor unit room temperature | Read |
| BI 2 | Alarm Indication | Indoor unit has an error code | Read |
Enable & remote start
No enable point is documented. Wired and wireless controller locks (BV 5, BV 4) and mode/fan locks (MV 3, MV 5) restrict local changes.
Network setup
- Factory IP address 192.168.1.8; configure it from a web browser on a PC plugged into the gateway's Ethernet port, using the default admin login printed in the guide.
- Device ID per unit = bus (0-3) + type (0 indoor, 1 outdoor) + 2-digit unit address, e.g. 0001 or 1105.
- Wiring details are in the LVM and BACnet Gateway installation manual (507897).
- Power is 24 VAC; the gateway is DIN-rail mounted.
Watch out for
- Instances are not unique across unit types: the same AI or BI number means different things on indoor and outdoor devices.
- The setpoint (AV 1) only applies in cool, heat and dry; auto mode uses AV 2 and AV 3.
- Outdoor BV 1 is an emergency stop for the outdoor unit, not a normal on/off.
- The indoor points list has no separate run-status object; read back BV 1 and MV 1.

Integration notes
- Device ID = 4 digits: bus (port) 0-3, unit type (0 = indoor, 1 = outdoor), unit address (indoor 00-63, outdoor 00-31). Example from the guide: 0001 = bus 0, indoor unit 01.
- The list holds two object sets: indoor unit devices (first 18 rows) and outdoor unit devices (last 24 rows). Instances repeat between the two (e.g. AI 1 is room temperature on an indoor unit and ambient temperature on an outdoor unit).
- The guide gives setpoint ranges as 62-86 °F (17-30 °C) and does not say which unit the gateway reports.
- Fan speed and fan lock values pair several codes per speed (1-2 low, 3-4 medium, 5-7 high).
- The gateway is rated for up to 320 VRB/VPB systems, 960 outdoor units and 2560 indoor units; the guide's Appendix A with the details is not part of this document.
Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the VRF BACnet Gateway V0CTRL95P-3 and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. New to BACnet? Questions about the Lennox VRF BACnet Gateway V0CTRL95P-3
How many BACnet points does the Lennox VRF BACnet Gateway V0CTRL95P-3 have?
This list has 42 BACnet objects: 21 analog inputs, 5 analog values, 7 binary inputs, 4 binary values, 1 multi-state input, 4 multi-state values. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.
Which Lennox VRF BACnet Gateway V0CTRL95P-3 BACnet points are writable?
13 of the 42 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.
Where is the official Lennox VRF BACnet Gateway V0CTRL95P-3 BACnet documentation?
The source is VRF BACnet Gateway V0CTRL95P-3, Lennox VRF VRB & VPB Systems - User and Application Guide (507951-02), revision 12/2022, published free by Lennox at https://www.lennox.com/dA/020b57558a/507951-02.pdf.
What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Lennox VRF BACnet Gateway V0CTRL95P-3?
Start with BV 1 On/Off Setting (Start/stop indoor unit); MV 1 Mode Setting (Mode command (3 = cool, 4 = heat, 5 = auto)); AV 1 Temperature Setting (Setpoint command); MV 2 Fan Speed Setting (Fan speed command (8 = auto)); AI 1 Room Temperature (Indoor unit room temperature); BI 2 Alarm Indication (Indoor unit has an error code).
How do I enable BMS control of the Lennox VRF BACnet Gateway V0CTRL95P-3?
No enable point is documented. Wired and wireless controller locks (BV 5, BV 4) and mode/fan locks (MV 3, MV 5) restrict local changes.
How do I check these points on the real VRF BACnet Gateway V0CTRL95P-3?
Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
