Fulton Hydronic ModSync SE v6.6.1.X (N54 ProtoNode) BACnet points list

Updated 28 October 2026

Short answer

The ModSync SE sequences up to eight hydronic boilers, and Fulton's N54 ProtoNode publishes its data as one flat list of 164 objects. Plant points cover enable, setpoint source and value, supply/return temperatures and the alarm code; each boiler then has a 12-point block of status, temperature and firing rate, followed by optional valve, pump and pressure points.

This page lists 164 BACnet objects for the Fulton Hydronic ModSync SE v6.6.1.X (N54 ProtoNode) — 11 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Fulton’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Fulton Hydronic ModSync SE v6.6.1.X (N54 ProtoNode)

Integration in brief

Enable the plant with Remote Enable/Disable, set ModSync Setpoint Mode to BMS and write the supply setpoint to BMS Setpoint Input. Read back the active ModSync setpoint, supply temperature, each boiler's run and alarm status and the ModSync alarm code.

Minimum points to map

The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.

BV 7Remote Enable/DisablePlant enable (1 = enable)Write
AV 9BMS Setpoint Input (Note 2)Supply setpoint from the BMS, °FWrite

Enable & remote start

BV 7 Remote Enable/Disable enables the plant from the BMS. For a BMS setpoint, set AV 10 ModSync Setpoint Mode = 2 (BMS) and write AV 9 BMS Setpoint Input; AV 9 is an optional point that has to be enabled at the ModSync.

Sensors & values from the BMS

Outdoor air (AV 2), return (AV 4), differential (AV 5) and the system pressures (AV 149-151) are read/write analog values, available when the matching option is enabled at the ModSync. The sheet does not say when the BMS must write them.

Integration notes

Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the Hydronic ModSync SE v6.6.1.X (N54 ProtoNode) and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. New to BACnet? Start with what a BACnet points list is and what the object types mean.

Questions about the Fulton Hydronic ModSync SE v6.6.1.X (N54 ProtoNode)

How many BACnet points does the Fulton Hydronic ModSync SE v6.6.1.X (N54 ProtoNode) have?

This list has 164 BACnet objects: 71 analog inputs, 10 analog values, 82 binary inputs, 1 binary value. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.

Which Fulton Hydronic ModSync SE v6.6.1.X (N54 ProtoNode) BACnet points are writable?

11 of the 164 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.

Where is the official Fulton Hydronic ModSync SE v6.6.1.X (N54 ProtoNode) BACnet documentation?

The source is Hydronic ModSync SE Version 6.6.1.X - Fulton N54 ProtoNode BACnet Network Addressing, published free by Fulton at https://fulton.com/app/uploads/2021/02/ModSync-SE-V661X-BACnet.pdf.

What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Fulton Hydronic ModSync SE v6.6.1.X (N54 ProtoNode)?

Start with BV 7 Remote Enable/Disable (Plant enable (1 = enable)); AV 9 BMS Setpoint Input (Note 2) (Supply setpoint from the BMS, °F); AV 10 ModSync Setpoint Mode (Must be 2 = BMS to use the BMS setpoint); BI 16 Boiler 1 Run Status (Boiler 1 running (repeat per boiler)); AI 11 ModSync Setpoint (Active plant setpoint, °F); AV 3 Supply Temperature (System supply water temperature, °F); AI 22 Boiler 1 Firing Rate (Boiler 1 firing rate, % (repeat per boiler)); BI 17 Boiler 1 Alarm Status (Boiler 1 alarm (repeat per boiler)); AI 12 ModSync Alarm Code (Plant alarm code from Fulton's alarm chart).

How do I enable BMS control of the Fulton Hydronic ModSync SE v6.6.1.X (N54 ProtoNode)?

BV 7 Remote Enable/Disable enables the plant from the BMS. For a BMS setpoint, set AV 10 ModSync Setpoint Mode = 2 (BMS) and write AV 9 BMS Setpoint Input; AV 9 is an optional point that has to be enabled at the ModSync.

Can the BMS supply sensor values to the Fulton Hydronic ModSync SE v6.6.1.X (N54 ProtoNode)?

Outdoor air (AV 2), return (AV 4), differential (AV 5) and the system pressures (AV 149-151) are read/write analog values, available when the matching option is enabled at the ModSync. The sheet does not say when the BMS must write them.

How do I check these points on the real Hydronic ModSync SE v6.6.1.X (N54 ProtoNode)?

Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
