CoolAutomation CoolMasterNet LG VRF outdoor unit (PRO) objects BACnet points list
Updated 28 October 2026
With PRO functionality, CoolAutomation gateways also publish service data from LG VRF outdoor units over BACnet: pressures, superheat/subcooling, inverter and fan data, EEV positions, temperatures and valve states (68 objects). The objects use the same VA x 256 + index instance scheme as the indoor objects. These are monitoring values for commissioning and diagnostics.
This page lists 68 BACnet objects for the CoolAutomation CoolMasterNet LG VRF outdoor unit (PRO) objects — 0 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from CoolAutomation’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: CoolAutomation CoolMasterNet LG VRF outdoor unit (PRO) objects
Use these objects for monitoring LG outdoor units only; control stays on the indoor-unit objects. Map the outdoor unit's VA block and trend pressures, superheat, subcooling, compressor frequency and error code.
Minimum points to map
The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.
| Object | Name | Why | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| CSV 257 | Mode | Outdoor operating mode | Read |
| PIV 261 | HiPrsTrc | Current high pressure | Read |
| PIV 263 | LoPrsTrc | Current low pressure | Read |
| PIV 271 | Inv1TrcFrq | Compressor 1 frequency | Read |
| AI 283 | AirT | Outdoor air temperature | Read |
| PIV 258 | Err | Outdoor unit error code | Read |
Enable & remote start
BACnet must be enabled on the gateway; the guide lists these objects under its PRO functionality section.
Network setup
- BACnet MS/TP: activate on line L3 with 'line type L3 BAC' (L4-L7 also possible on CoolMasterNet); default frame 9600 8N1, change with 'line baud L3 <rate>_8N1'; MAC (TS) default 0x40 = 64, change with 'line myid L3 <hex>'. Reboot after each change.
- BACnet IP: enable with 'bacnet IP enable'; UDP port 47808 by default ('bacnet port <n>'). The server starts only once Ethernet is up with an IP address.
- Default device instance 64 (0x40); change with 'bacnet instance <n>'.
Watch out for
- Raw values marked x 0.1 must be scaled in the BMS.
- The guide does not document how VAs are assigned to outdoor units; confirm instances with a BACnet discovery.

Type: AI, AO, AV, BI, BO, BV, MI/MO/MV (multi-state) · Access: Read read-only, Write writable, Command writable with a priority array.
Note: the source document has no read/write column, so access here is inferred from the object type (inputs read-only, values writable). Confirm on the live controller before writing.

Integration notes
- Points shown for VA 1 (instances 256-323); the guide does not explain how outdoor units receive their VA.
- Access set to read-only: these are measured values, although the guide's type table lists PIV as read/write.
- Many values are scaled; '(value x 0.1)' means divide the raw value by 10.
- Object names are the guide's short names.
Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the CoolMasterNet LG VRF outdoor unit (PRO) objects and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. Questions about the CoolAutomation CoolMasterNet LG VRF outdoor unit (PRO) objects
How many BACnet points does the CoolAutomation CoolMasterNet LG VRF outdoor unit (PRO) objects have?
This list has 68 BACnet objects: 26 analog inputs, 12 binary inputs, 2 characterstring values, 28 positive integer values. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.
Which CoolAutomation CoolMasterNet LG VRF outdoor unit (PRO) objects BACnet points are writable?
None of the listed objects are marked writable in the source documentation. The source has no read/write column, so this is inferred from object type.
Where is the official CoolAutomation CoolMasterNet LG VRF outdoor unit (PRO) objects BACnet documentation?
The source is BACnet Integration Guidelines - CoolMasterNet, CooLinkNet, CooLinkHub, CooLinkBridge, revision Rev 0.5, 2019-04-29, published free by CoolAutomation at https://coolautomation.com/Lib/doc/CoolMasterNet/manual/CoolMasterNet-BACnet-guidelines.pdf.
What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the CoolAutomation CoolMasterNet LG VRF outdoor unit (PRO) objects?
Start with CSV 257 Mode (Outdoor operating mode); PIV 261 HiPrsTrc (Current high pressure); PIV 263 LoPrsTrc (Current low pressure); PIV 271 Inv1TrcFrq (Compressor 1 frequency); AI 283 AirT (Outdoor air temperature); PIV 258 Err (Outdoor unit error code).
How do I enable BMS control of the CoolAutomation CoolMasterNet LG VRF outdoor unit (PRO) objects?
BACnet must be enabled on the gateway; the guide lists these objects under its PRO functionality section.
How do I check these points on the real CoolMasterNet LG VRF outdoor unit (PRO) objects?
Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
