Viessmann Vitocrossal 200 CI2 (WAGO Automation Gateway) BACnet points list

Updated 28 October 2026

Short answer

Viessmann connects the Vitocrossal 200 CI2 to a BMS through a WAGO Automation Gateway that talks CAN to the boiler and exposes BACnet IP objects. The list covers external demand and operating-program commands for the boiler, DHW and four heating circuits, temperatures, burner modulation and hours, a second burner and O2 values, cascade sequence positions, fault codes and energy and gas statistics. Points must be selected in the gateway before they appear on BACnet.

This page lists 129 BACnet objects for the Viessmann Vitocrossal 200 CI2 (WAGO Automation Gateway) — 15 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from Viessmann’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: Viessmann Vitocrossal 200 CI2 (WAGO Automation Gateway)

Integration in brief

Select the needed points in the gateway's web visualization and save, then set Heartbeat Monitoring. The BMS writes MV 3 for the heating program plus AV 2 (supply temperature) or AV 1 (modulation), and keeps rewriting MV 1 with 3 every 10 s so the boiler accepts them. Read flame, supply temperature, modulation, the fault flag and fault codes, and watch BI 1 for the gateway-to-boiler link.

Minimum points to map

The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.

Enable & remote start

The BMS writes setpoints through the gateway's writable values: MV 3 picks the heating-mode program (internal value, target modulation, target supply temperature, target supply temperature exclusive, locked), AV 2 is the supply temperature target and AV 1 the modulation target. DHW uses MV 2 and AV 3; heating circuits 1-4 use MV 4-7 and AV 4-7. The boiler only accepts these while MV 1 External demand is written from the BMS (see heartbeat).

Heartbeat & communication loss

With Heartbeat Monitoring enabled (the gateway default, set in Project Settings), the BMS must write MV 1 External demand with 3 (BACnet) at least every 10 s. The gateway passes it to the boiler and resets MV 1 to 1; if the writes stop, the boiler goes back to its internal setpoints. With monitoring disabled MV 1 must still be written once, and the boiler keeps the last BMS setpoints after a communication loss.

Integration notes

Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the Vitocrossal 200 CI2 (WAGO Automation Gateway) and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. New to BACnet? Start with what a BACnet points list is and what the object types mean.

Questions about the Viessmann Vitocrossal 200 CI2 (WAGO Automation Gateway)

How many BACnet points does the Viessmann Vitocrossal 200 CI2 (WAGO Automation Gateway) have?

This list has 129 BACnet objects: 85 analog inputs, 7 analog values, 16 binary inputs, 1 binary value, 13 multi-state inputs, 7 multi-state values. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.

Which Viessmann Vitocrossal 200 CI2 (WAGO Automation Gateway) BACnet points are writable?

15 of the 129 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done.

Where is the official Viessmann Vitocrossal 200 CI2 (WAGO Automation Gateway) BACnet documentation?

The source is WAGO Gateway Data Points - Communication to a building management system (Vitocrossal 200 CI2) (6178 508-05), revision 01/2025, published free by Viessmann at https://www.viessmann-us.com/content/dam/public-brands/ca/pdfs/doc/wago/wago_gateway_vitocrossal_tdm.pdf/_jcr_content/renditions/original./wago_gateway_vitocrossal_tdm.pdf.

What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the Viessmann Vitocrossal 200 CI2 (WAGO Automation Gateway)?

Start with MV 3 Boiler operating program: Target (Heating program: internal, modulation, supply temp, locked); AV 2 Target supply temperature (Boiler supply temperature setpoint); AV 1 Burner modulation, target value (Burner modulation command, 0-100 %; single boiler only); MV 1 External demand (Write 3 (BACnet) every 10 s or BMS setpoints drop); BI 2 Burner (Flame status; list prints 0 = On, 1 = Off); AI 1 Supply temperature (Boiler supply water temperature); AI 7 Burner modulation (Actual burner modulation, %); BI 5 Faults (Any boiler fault present); AI 14 Fault number 1 (First active fault code); BI 1 Connection to the boiler (Gateway-to-boiler link; 0 = no connection).

How do I enable BMS control of the Viessmann Vitocrossal 200 CI2 (WAGO Automation Gateway)?

The BMS writes setpoints through the gateway's writable values: MV 3 picks the heating-mode program (internal value, target modulation, target supply temperature, target supply temperature exclusive, locked), AV 2 is the supply temperature target and AV 1 the modulation target. DHW uses MV 2 and AV 3; heating circuits 1-4 use MV 4-7 and AV 4-7. The boiler only accepts these while MV 1 External demand is written from the BMS (see heartbeat).

Does the Viessmann Vitocrossal 200 CI2 (WAGO Automation Gateway) need a BACnet heartbeat or have a communication timeout?

With Heartbeat Monitoring enabled (the gateway default, set in Project Settings), the BMS must write MV 1 External demand with 3 (BACnet) at least every 10 s. The gateway passes it to the boiler and resets MV 1 to 1; if the writes stop, the boiler goes back to its internal setpoints. With monitoring disabled MV 1 must still be written once, and the boiler keeps the last BMS setpoints after a communication loss.

How do I check these points on the real Vitocrossal 200 CI2 (WAGO Automation Gateway)?

Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
