EBTRON Gold Series GTx116 Airflow Transmitter (GTC116 / GTM116) BACnet points list
Updated 28 October 2026
The Gold Series GTx116 is EBTRON's earlier (Advantage III) airflow transmitter. Over BACnet it reports average airflow, average temperature and alarm status, plus optional per-probe flow and temperature traverse values. GTC116 boards speak BACnet MS/TP (default 76,800 baud) or Modbus RTU; GTM116 boards speak BACnet IP or BACnet Ethernet, with Modbus TCP always on.
This page lists 38 BACnet objects for the EBTRON Gold Series GTx116 Airflow Transmitter (GTC116 / GTM116) — 2 of them writable — with each object’s type, instance number, name, engineering units and access. It is re-typed from EBTRON’s own free documentation, linked below.

BMS integration notes: EBTRON Gold Series GTx116 Airflow Transmitter (GTC116 / GTM116)
This is a read-only airflow station: map average flow, average temperature and alarm status. Turn on per-probe traverse data with AV2 only if you need it. Set a unique device instance and network address on each transmitter before connecting it.
Minimum points to map
The short list most integrators start with — enough to run the unit from a BMS. Map more as the job needs.
| Object | Name | Why | Access |
|---|---|---|---|
| AI 1 | Average Flow | Average airflow, CFM | Read |
| AI 2 | Avgerage Temperature | Average air temperature, °F | Read |
| AI 3 | Alarm Status | High/low airflow alarm | Read |
Network setup
- Factory device instance is 2 on both GTC116 and GTM116; set it in the NETWORK menu or by writing the Device object identifier (0 to 4,194,302).
- GTC116 BACnet MS/TP default baud is 76,800 (Modbus 19,200), set in the NETWORK menu.
- GTM116 defaults: BACnet IP, DHCP off, IP 10.0.0.100, mask 255.255.255.0, gateway 10.0.0.10; BACnet Ethernet can be selected instead.
- BACnet IP uses port 47808; Modbus TCP (port 502) is always enabled on the GTM116.
- RESET NET in the menu returns communication settings to factory defaults.
Watch out for
- Traverse objects AV3-AV34 stay empty until AV2 is set to Flow, Temp or Both.

Type: AI, AO, AV, BI, BO, BV, MI/MO/MV (multi-state) · Access: Read read-only, Write writable, Command writable with a priority array.
Note: the source document has no read/write column, so access here is inferred from the object type (inputs read-only, values writable). Confirm on the live controller before writing.

Check it against the live device. A points list tells you what the controller can expose; the unit in front of you may differ by firmware or installed options. Easy BACnet scans a network for BACnet IP devices from an Android phone, reads every object on the Gold Series GTx116 Airflow Transmitter (GTC116 / GTM116) and exports what it actually has to Excel — free. Questions about the EBTRON Gold Series GTx116 Airflow Transmitter (GTC116 / GTM116)
How many BACnet points does the EBTRON Gold Series GTx116 Airflow Transmitter (GTC116 / GTM116) have?
This list has 38 BACnet objects: 3 analog inputs, 34 analog values, 1 device. The exact set on a given unit depends on its firmware, installed options and configuration.
Which EBTRON Gold Series GTx116 Airflow Transmitter (GTC116 / GTM116) BACnet points are writable?
2 of the 38 objects accept a write. Points marked Command have a priority array: a write holds until it is released, so release it back to automatic when you are done. The source has no read/write column, so this is inferred from object type.
Where is the official EBTRON Gold Series GTx116 Airflow Transmitter (GTC116 / GTM116) BACnet documentation?
The source is Gold Series GTx116 Installation, Operation and Maintenance Technical Manual (Table 8) (TM_GTx116_R9A1), revision 2016-05, published free by EBTRON at https://ebtron.com/wp-content/uploads/TM_GTx116.pdf.
What are the minimum BACnet points to integrate the EBTRON Gold Series GTx116 Airflow Transmitter (GTC116 / GTM116)?
Start with AI 1 Average Flow (Average airflow, CFM); AI 2 Avgerage Temperature (Average air temperature, °F); AI 3 Alarm Status (High/low airflow alarm).
How do I check these points on the real Gold Series GTx116 Airflow Transmitter (GTC116 / GTM116)?
Scan the network with a BACnet IP browser such as Easy BACnet, open the device and compare its object list with this table. Anything missing is usually an option that isn't installed or a point that is disabled in the controller's configuration.
